Sur de los Andes produces its wines in a recently refurbished facility located in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza. The winery is equipped with small vats and temperature-controlled tanks. State of the art technology allows for the production of premium wines. • All grapes are carefully selected from a small number of vineyards which are strategically located at different key areas in Vistalba, Agrelo and Lunlunta in Luján de Cuyo, and San Carlos and Tupungato in the Valle de Uco, all in Mendoza. • Luján de Cuyo was the first, and is the most traditional wine region in Argentina. It boasts the oldest and highest quality vineyards producing grapes that are very much in demand. Valle de Uco has recently been recognized for it´s unique terroir in the production of malbec. • Vineyards are carefully managed to yield between 4,000 and 11,000 kg per hectare and vines range from 7 to seventy years of age. • Sur de los Andes has long-term contracts with a select number of growers and has complete control of vineyard management in all of them. • The Ban! family vineyard is located in Agrelo on Cobos street, the most prestigious wine area in Mendoza.
Vineyard management and wine-making are under the direct supervision of Pablo Durigutti. • Pablo spent several years at the Ruttini Winery before joining and working with his brother Hector, well recognized enologist and considered one of the top Malbec experts in Argentina. • Pablo joined Bodega Sur de los Andes from its creation and each of his vintages has surpassed the last. • Wines are modern style, fruity, intense colours and with good balance between tannins, acidity, fruit and oak. • Sur de los Andes specialized in the production of quality Malbec, Bonarda and Torrontés, the 3 “Argentine varietals”. • Malbec is produced in different categories from its fruity entry level Classic up to its icon wine In!nito.
