Bodegas Castillejo de Robeldo, S.A. is a relatively new company within the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin. The company was founded in 1998 with our first vintage in 1999, the culmination of a 15 year project begininning with the restoration of the vineyards.

The winery is located in the town of Castillejo de Robledo, Soria, where we have preserved antique wines presses and underground depositories as a testament to the rich winegrowing tradition of the land and its people.

The grapes come from vines belonging to the partners. The vineyards are located on the northern slope facing the Duero River. The cultivation is controlled throughout the growing cycle by the company to assure the quality of the raw material. The grape variety is 100% "tinta del pais".

The winery floor is 2,600 square meters, with the capacity to process 600,000 kilos of grapes, and store 750,000 liters in 700 oak barrels, 60 % of which are American Oak and 40% of which are French Oak.
